The mini-majors-

There also Independent production companies called "Mini-Majors". These are the independent production companies that have one of the big 6 backing them.
  • Dream Works
  • The Weinstein company

If I was to choose a production company to use while making my movie, I would use Rom Com Pictures (They are the only film production companies that specialize in romantic comedies could find). If they weren't on option I would go with a small stage mini major because they have they have one of the Big 6 backing them up. They would also know how the proper procedure of producing a film-

Development- This involves the script writing, the ideas, and the thinking.

Pre-Production- This is where the planning for you movie starts. This is where you establish the producer, the crew the actors all of that.

Production- You start shooting and editing your film here.

Post Production- This is where you do your fixing up like editing and adding audio or removing something

Distribution- Finally your film is done and its ready to be released to the world. after this you would need to a find a way to advertise your movie and get some viewers.

If the mini majors have the big six backing them up, that must mean that they have a good audience and many viewers that would watch my movie. If I had chosen a smaller company, the viewers probably wouldn't be all that enthusiastic about my movie.

How to get a film Producers attention-

First off, you need to find a company that you want to work with. You can ask around the people who went to school with you or go to a speed-dating event that would have many directors or producers. You could also join the IFP Project Forum, they are the oldest and largest forum in the U.S. for discovering new projects in development in the independent movie scene. It is a meetings-focused forum connecting filmmakers with a variety of people in the film industry—producers, funders, agents, broadcasters, festival programmers, etc. There are many women who share their failures and give other advice. Also going face-to-face couldn't hurt either.

How would I exhibition my movie-

I would first show my movie at a low priced movie theater. After that I would move onto having posters shown around malls and other shopping places.
