Long Shot Case Study

Summary-

Long Shot is about Fred Flarsky, a journalist, who reunites with his child hood friend/ babysitter, Charlotte Field, who also happens to a very influential woman who is running for president. She hires Fred as her speechwriter and Fred slowly charms Charlotte with his humor and sparks start up between the two ad the go through many dangerous situations.


Production-

The development started in 2010 with screen writer Dan Sterling deciding to take a break from working on several TV shows and start a screen writing career. he wrote the script and named it Flarsky (for the time being). He wanted to work with Charlize Theron and had to wait 7 years to work with her. Theron starred and helped produce the film. She also helped touch up her character. When Director Jonathan Levine came aboard, he wanted to make the film reminiscent of other rom come like Tootsie. Since the original script was written in 2010 the film deals with the current political issues going on during that time. They brought in some people to help touch up on the script as well.

Pre-Production-

The Project was announced on February 2017. O'Shea Jackson Jr. was cast in 2017  In November 2017, June Diane Raphael, Ravi Patel, Andy Serkis, Alexander Skarsgard, and Randall Park joined the filming.

Filming-

The scenes were filmed in Plaza de la Trinidad in  Cartagena, Colombia towards the end of January 2018. An announcement was made in January 2019 that the tittle had changed too Long Shot.

History/Target Audience-

Long Shot is a rated R film. That means that it is a child under 17 must be accompanied by an adult to watch a film like that. This means that the target audience are people over 17 years old. With all of the drug and sexual references that are in the film won't be appropriate of kids
